Bonne rentrée à tous!

As Summer draws to a close and la Rentrée forces us all back into a more formally organised way of life after the lazier days of August, here in the UK we always hope for an Indian Summer with a sunny September. September in the south of France is a lovely month – the days still feel long and are predominantly hot and sunny. Autumn still feels a way off – in spite of la rentrée.

Cannes is home to many festivals, not just the world famous festival de film and lots of them are not surprisingly centred around the sea. There is a lovely vintage boat regatta held in September which is definitely worth a visit, the world-famous Régates Royales, organized by the Cannes Yacht Club. The crème de la crème of classic yachting gathers in the stunning bay, for a unique show which takes place both on and off the water.

Put off those chilly Autumn days, spend a long weekend away in Cannes and enjoy the Régates Royales (19th – 25th September) and the sunny sights of Cannes.

If that's all just a pipe dream - as it is for us at the moment, there's always French soap!
